Ricky qualified from the University of Huddersfield, 2009 with a BSc Honours degree and then went on to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Conditions of The Foot & Ankle, which specialised in heel pain.
He has continued studying and maintaining CPD. Having an interest in sports injuries, he undertook a course in Strength & Conditioning by Dr Claire Minshull, a well-respected UK based Strength and Conditioning coach.
He has tied this with a developing interest in running and completed courses in Running Gait Analysis and Running Injuries.
In 2020 he undertook a course in Load Management, by renowned Sports Scientist Dr Tim Gabett which has enabled him to have an overall better understanding of a patient or athlete’s training programme and how to adapt it and create an effect rehabilitation plan.
His experience includes working in both NHS and Private sectors. Currently, he works with a team of experienced Physiotherapists and Podiatrists in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham, and with a great team of motivated Osteopaths and Sports Injuries Therapists in Coventry, Warwickshire.
He covers all aspects of Podiatry with a particular focus on nail surgery, sports injuries, biomechanics and running analysis.
To better understand some of the possible underlying causes of injury in greater detail, he has recently invested in the latest force plate technology, the RS Footscan (https://rsscan.com/. Patients find this tool extremely helpful and engaging as part of their biomechanical & gait assessment.
Outside of work he is very active and enjoys running, playing badminton, 6-aside football, and the gym.
